I started in real estate when I was in my 20’s. I am a third generation in real estate and starting with my grandfather in Wapato Washington to my Mother who retired at 104 years of age. I grew up on a big Tennessee Walking Horse ranch in Bothell Washington. I have also lived in Ellensburg Washington, San Jose California and in the early 70’s I moved my family to Duvall Washington. Was able to raise my children in a small town with horses, outside activities and swimming in the river in town. I have three children and my oldest Natalee sells real estate, lives in Lake Stevens and has four children. Shellee has three children and they live in Langley British Columbia where she represents an American company.
My son Billy has two children and lives outside of Monroe where his two children are growing up and works for UPS. I am married to Jack Swaisgood, we work together in real estate for Re/Max Northwest. We have our horses and since 1995 I have taken one of my horses and ridden her from the Cascade Mountains to Idaho. It takes about three weeks and for years I went by myself, my horse, truck, camper and horse trailer on the John Wayne Trail. Jack has come with me the last number of times with his horse. There are a couple hundred of us that take the trail and in many ways we are like a family. Over the years some of my children and grandchildren have come on the ride with us.
